Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple

One of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, the Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple is also revered as one of the eighteen Maha Shakti Peethas, making it a rare and powerful dual pilgrimage site. The temple showcases exquisite Dravidian architecture with towering gopurams, intricate stone carvings, and a large Nandi mandapam that reflects the grandeur of Vijayanagara craftsmanship. 

Devotees believe that worshipping here grants liberation (moksha) and fulfills wishes, drawing thousands throughout the year, especially during Maha Shivaratri.

Bhramaramba Devi Temple

A powerful Maha Shakti Peetha dedicated to Goddess Bhramaramba, located within the main temple complex.

Srisailam Dam

Pathala Gang

Paladhara-Panchadhara

Paladhara-Panchadhara, meaning “Seven Streams,” is a scenic hillside spot where seven natural springs continuously flow from rocky outcrops, believed to have been created by Lord Shiva to quench the thirst of his devotees. 

The water here is considered holy, and pilgrims collect it as prasadam, believing it has healing properties. Surrounded by dense forest and overlooking the Krishna River, this peaceful location is ideal for meditation and quiet reflection away from the temple crowds.

Hatakeswaram Temple

 A smaller but beautifully carved Shiva temple featuring a large Nandi statue near the main complex.

Srisailam Museum

A small museum maintained by the ASI, displaying ancient sculptures, inscriptions, bronze idols, and temple artifacts from the region.

Vriddha Mallikarjuna Temple

An ancient Shiva temple believed to predate the main temple, featuring unique architectural styles and a peaceful, less-crowded atmosphere.

Mallela Theertham Waterfall

Hidden deep inside the dense Nallamala forest, Mallela Theertham Waterfall plunges 150 feet from a rocky cliff into a pristine natural pool, creating a breathtaking sight especially during and after the monsoon season. The waterfall is named after the jasmine flowers (mallela) that once grew abundantly in the surrounding forest, adding a fragrant charm to the location. 

A short but scenic trek through rocky terrain leads visitors to the falls, where a dip in the cool waters is considered refreshing and spiritually cleansing.

Nallamala Forest Range

A dense ancient forest tract surrounding Srisailam, home to tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and diverse birdlife.

Srisailam Tiger Reserve

One of India’s largest tiger reserves, offering jungle safaris, watchtowers, and stunning Krishna River valley views.

Uma Maheswaram Temple

Sakshi Ganapathi Temple

A small but significant Ganesha temple believed to witness all prayers offered at the main Jyotirlinga.

Nagarjuna Sagar Dam
