The Light & The Lotus

Relics of the Awakened One
A photographic pilgrimage through Buddhist heritage

“The Light and the Lotus: Relics of the Awakened One” is a free exhibition at Qila Rai Pithora Cultural Complex, Lado Sarai, New Delhi, open daily 9 AM–9 PM except Mondays, until July 3, 2026. Nearest metro is Malviya Nagar. The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, inaugurated the Grand International Exposition ‘The Light and the Lotus: Relics of the Awakened One’ to showcase the Piprahwa gem relics of Lord Buddha on 3 January 2026 at the Raipithora Cultural Complex, New Delhi. The exposition commemorates the Ministry of Culture’s successful repatriation of the relics in July 2025.

This page presents a comprehensive visual documentation of the Light and the Lotus Exposition as witnessed on-site by Trip & Tales. Every photograph has been captured firsthand, forming a carefully curated collection that records the Buddhist relics, sacred artefacts, and displays featured during the event. Together, these images preserve the spiritual, historical, and cultural essence of the exposition in an authentic visual archive.
