Sim's Park

This beautifully landscaped 12-hectare botanical garden features rare exotic plant species from around the world, including magnolias, rhododendrons, and tree ferns. 

The park is designed with terraced lawns, a charming miniature train for children, and a central pond where visitors can enjoy boating. It is most famous for hosting an annual fruit and vegetable show in May, showcasing giant-sized produce grown in the Nilgiris.

Dolphin's Nose Viewpoint

A dramatic cliff-shaped viewpoint resembling a dolphin’s nose, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the Catherine Falls, tea estates, and distant plains.

Lamb's Rock

Pasteur Institute

Established in 1907 near Coonoor, this historic medical research institute is dedicated to the study of snake venom, rabies, and other tropical diseases. 

The institute produces life-saving antivenom serums and vaccines, serving as a critical healthcare resource for the region. Visitors can tour a small museum showcasing various snake species, venom extraction demonstrations, and the institute’s research history.

Ooty (Queen of Hill Stations)

Located about 20 km from Coonoor, Ooty is the most famous hill station in South India, known for its stunning Ooty Lake, Botanical Gardens, and Doddabetta Peak.
