Prithvinath Temple - Sacred Stones, Forgotten Stories

The Prithvinath Temple in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, is famous for Asia’s largest Shivling, but its overlooked treasure lies in 7–8 ancient idols placed along its outer walls. Resembling the Mathura school of art, these sculptures possibly depict Pashupati, Vishnu, a Yakshini, and even Buddha. Slowly eroding due to weathering and religious offerings, these archaeologically significant idols urgently need professional attention and preservation before they are lost forever.
