Neha Bhave is a research scholar, published author, and content writer. She is currently pursuing an MA in Archaeology from Durham University, having previously earned her bachelor’s degree from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Neha believes that every artifact and landscape is a vessel for a human story, and she writes to ensure these quiet voices of the past are heard in the present. When she isn’t researching or writing, she can be found exploring places, and capturing them in photographs and drawings.

Rani ki Vav, the Queen’s Stepwell at Patan in Gujarat, was built in the 11th century by Queen Udayamati in memory of her husband King Bhima I. More than just a water structure, it is a royal memorial adorned with extraordinary sculptures. UNESCO inscribed it as a World Heritage Site in 2014.
